Things to do in Amsterdam on a lazy sunday afternoon!

Park Frankendael is a very nice park in Amsterdam Oost.
With the famous restaurant "de Kas"  and the bar/restaurant/venue Merkelbach located in the park cullinary delight seems to be always present.
When Pure Markt sets up in Frankendael Park it gets even better.
Seasonal delicacies from all over Europe are sold in a huge collection of little stands.
Bring your picnic blanket, your friends, your kids and enjoy park life while enjoying delicious dishes and drinks from the market.
Stroll around the stands who sell sustainable products, clothing, jewelry, furniture, ornaments, (organic) food products...

Entrance is free.
There is live music.
There is usually stuff for kids to do (make-up artists, carrousels, playgrounds...).
It's laid back, not overcrowded.

Recommended:
- a Butcher selling only pork products
- Pinxtos
- Hungarian bubbles

Oyster Club Amsterdam Review

A new place, owned by the people who do Harbour Club all over Holland.
But... this time with staff who know what they're doing.

The setting is amazing. Set in the Old Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam Oud Zuid.
The interiour decoration is spectacular as well as the view! Absolutely Stunning.

We sat outside, nice large seating area, comfortable Rietveld design chairs.
Great atmosphere, good band played live music.

Then the food:

The sashimi was perfect, not frozen, generous portions, home made wasabi (very cool), well cut, excellent quality.

The red perch was cooked perfectly, came with a delicious sauce, cooked asparagus and young potatoes.

Nothing very elaborate, but extremely delicious.

Delicious house wines...

The setting looks complex and artsy... the food is very straightforward: delicious.
